Does the lock need to be compatible with my door?
Most smart locks fit standard door prep: a 2-1/8-inch bore hole with a backset of 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inches. Door thickness must typically be 1-3/8 to 2 inches. Ultraloq fits the widest range. August Wi-Fi retrofits over your existing deadbolt so it requires no bore hole at all. If your door has a non-standard configuration, we assess compatibility on the call before you buy anything.
